As a Managing Partner, he managed mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and growth strategies for venture capital and private equity firms. Under Jim’s leadership, Focused Evolution grew into a multi-million dollar consulting firm, serving a global client portfolio of 49 companies, across a broad in a range of industries. Jim serves on the board of directors of several medical device firms around the world. He is a recognized business leader, public speaker, an accomplished author, and has published numerous articles in industry trade journals and lectures all over the world globally on topics including stress, recovery, performance, and business strategy. A New England native, Poole earned a BA in psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA in International Business & Marketing from Babson College.

In this episode, we cover off the negative effects of stress and not sleeping, how GABA works to calm the brain, who NuCalm was originally made for (now so easily obtainable by anyone), and how NuCalm is different from any other devise on the market that is designed to mitigate negative effects of stress.  We also get into how NuCalm can help for sleep as well.

The biggest difference between NuCalm and any other sleep or stress devise is that a) it always works and b) NuCalm possesses the only patent in the world for the technology of it's kind.  I highly suggest you try this for yourself.  You won't be disappointed.

Speaker 1:

Hi everyone. It's Sandy Kruse from Sandy K nutrition, health and lifestyle queen. And I'm here to show you that balanced living works. This is especially for all you ladies, over 40, we will cover a range of exciting topics with any special guests. And I really look forward to this season. Bye for now. Hi everyone. Welcome to Sandy K nutrition, health and lifestyle queen today with me, I have Mr. Jim Poole. He is the President of Solace Lifesciences. The makers of NuCalm I've been using NuCalm for awhile now. And I've been talking about it a lot on my social media, by the way, go follow me on Instagram. That is where I'm most active in my stories in my posts. And it's just at Sandy K Nutrition. So NuCalm is a device it's spelled NuCalm. And it's a device I've been using. And I'm very impressed with because it works and it works every single time. I don't wanna spoil it for you because that's why you're gonna listen to Jim. Talk all about it. But I am gonna tell you that I have a discount code. It is SK10OFF. You will find this in my description, along with everything else that you need to know about NuCalm, but I do have a couple of other announcements. I will be speaking at two different conferences coming in. One is the biohacking women's conference. And one is in Boston called the biohacking Congress. And these are both in June. One is virtual, and one is in person. So more to come on this, but these are exciting. Calm. You're gonna want to attend another announcement. Now, this one is kind of near and dear to my heart because it is in my hometown, just outside of Toronto, about, oh, I would say about a 30 minute drive west of Toronto, and it is an event it's a retro dance party and fundraiser, and it's called back to the galaxy and all proceeds benefit the Canadian cancer society. So obviously you all know cancer, not great. Been there done that, but you guys are gonna laugh because this is actually being held in a venue where I used to go when I was young and it's retro and all of you know, I am a 1970 baby. So anything retro is gonna be fun. Anything that is going to support a great charity, like the Canadian cancer society. Of course, I'm gonna wanna attend this. So to find out more about this, you're gonna wanna go to their website. It's just backtothegalaxy.ca. I will have this in my show notes as well, in case if you forget the website, but I do believe that there is a donate option. There is an option for sponsorship and of course, to come to the event, which is the most fun part. So hopefully I'll see you there. Now, my last announcement, of course, I'm gonna ask you guys to share this podcast episode or any episodes that you find useful of value that you learn something new. It's just word of mouth is so huge. And it means the world to podcasters like myself who are competing with like celebrity podcasts, like, come on, you guys, like, just do that V me. So if you subscribe, rate and review with a few kind words, I would greatly greatly shade it. Also, I am still looking for sponsors. Yeah, I got space because I record a podcast episode every single week without fail. I think I've maybe in, in over two years taken two weeks off, maybe. So if you are interested in becoming one of Sandy K nutrition sponsors definitely send me an email. Sandy@sandyknutrition.ca, or you can DM me on Instagram. I am most active there, and now I am going to cut on through to this amazing recording with Jim Poole of Solace Lifesciences, the makers of NuCalm. Hi, everyone. Welcome to Sandy K Nutrition, Health and Lifestyle Queen. Today with me, I have a special guest. His name is Jim Poole, and he's the president and CEO at Solace Lifesciences. They are the maker of NuCalm. Jim is an accomplished business executive with extensive experience in the healthcare biotechnology, life sciences market research, and it industries. He manages the strategic direction, an ongoing operations of Solacelife sciences incorporated, a neuroscience company that's focused on personalized wellness and performance in 2015 Solace lifesciences. The maker of NuCalm was granted the world's Sole patent for systems and methods for balancing and maintaining the health of the human autonomic nervous system. Now, for you guys who are listening, I've been using this device for a few weeks now, and I will say it is pretty mind blowing. So I am very honored to welcome you, Mr. Jim Poole. Thank you so much for coming today.

Speaker 2:

Thanks for having me. It's a pleasure to be here.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. So, you know, I've been using this device, but you know, I, I wanna first start at the beginning. How did you get into this? Because you have a vast array of experience and how did you settle on NuCalm?

Speaker 2:

I, uh, I was running a strategy consulting firm for private equity wall street banking, mergers, and acquisitions. And our firm was unique. We did the entire value chain of the investment process from diligence to investment thesis, to investment committee to approval road show, secure the funding, and then post acquisition, run the company and do the growth strategy that we built for the investment thesis. So literally the entire value chain of, of a merger and acquisition our company did. And in 2008, we consummated a very large deal with the company in California and happened to be a dentist. And he happened to secure several hundred million dollars of a product he invented and he build for 34 years. So in life, people know each other or kind of think through and whatever. There is a neuroscientist in Texas, who's building a anxiolytic, which is an anti-anxiety device and technology, and he wants to pressure test it, not just for trauma and long term chronic stress, but for acute stress. So he says, you know, where's a place that I could go do this where people have acute high levels of stress. So he thought of dentistry. Yes. When you lie on your back, open your mouth and have a stranger punishments in your mouth, you elicit your PRI of mid brains fight or flight. Yeah, you do. Don't wanna be there. Your central nervous says, Hey Sandy, this isn't a good idea. How are we getting out of this? So he started doing work with high fear dental patients, and he's a neuroscientist. He's a quantum physicist. He's a naturopath. He's not a businessman, but he invents something so profound that the dentist who happens to be with the all a key opinion leader, and one of the top 500 dentists in the country says to Dr. Holloway says, there's a doc who just got paid like hundreds of millions of dollars. You should call the firm that did that. That's how it came to be. So in June of 2009, Dr. Holloway called our consulting firm. Typically Sandy, I would not entertain a call from an inventor. There's something that, uh, called inventor artists. Now inventors have a difficult time kind of, uh, separating themselves from the baby that they invented. So there's a lot of ego attachment. There's a lot of troll and it's really difficult and kind of a time waster to try to work with them and, and build the business. Blake did not have invent artists and fortunately for him and for me and the rest of the world, he didn't, which had me engaged furthermore, being from the east coast and being a wall street banker and talking fast and move being fast. And I was disarmed by his Texas Southern draw and intrigued by his word choices. I didn't know if I was talking to someone on the star Trek enterprise or what, but I, I liked it. So you have this gentleman who's very articulate, uh, very smooth in his delivery about stuff that's fascinating. And I didn't understand in a Texas Southern draw. So got, I have to tell you, he disarmed me. I grew an affinity to him pretty quickly. Um, at this point in June of 2009, we were very busy, even though the markets were starting to go in the wrong direction and mergers and acquisitions were gonna be on the downside in portfolio triage manager in trying to keep your protect, your assets was gonna be on the upside. This is when the, the financial crisis was in full bloom, but we did 10 weeks of diligence with Blake. And the more we spoke, the more I was intrigued, the more we spoke, the more, the less I understood. I mean, the brilliance and the articulation coming out of his mouth was like, I don't under understand half of what he is talking about. So I finally said, you know what? I need to come see you. Something's drawing me to you. So I flew down to San Antonio, Texas, and I went to a doctor's office and I tried NuCalm. It wasn't called NuCalm. And it was a really archaic device at that point. But I got in there, I laid down, I was kind of lucid for a little bit. And then I just felt myself drifting and I drifted hard. And I remember three instances in the experience. So it ended up about 32 minutes. My nose itched really intensely. And I remember my brain saying, Hey, your nose. It is. And then I'd be like, yeah, who cares? And my mind would wander. And then wouldn't, you know, it, Hey, your nose. It is, it, it, I couldn't find the strength to move my arms. I was like, this is crazy. I'm like stuck. I got up, you know, it, you know, there's a light mask on. So when you come out of it, they, they take the light mask off. And that the light you're like, whoa, they stand up. And I feel so relaxed physically. I feel like Gumby. I'm like, I don't know what you just did to me. I feel incredible. And I just flew. So my back was a little tight, but mentally I felt amazing. So the experience for me was amazing. The next day we sat in a boardroom and Blake basically put on a whiteboard for about eight hours, the science behind it. And it was logical. Was it intense? Yes. Was it confusing? Yes. Was it inspiring? Yes, but it was logical. I believed it. And so that's what started this whole thing. And now for me personally, uh, I was a, kind of a dogie Houser, young guy taking over companies, running companies. I have a deep voice. So on the phone, be like, Mr. Poole's gonna be taking over your company, then I'd show up. And like, where's Mr. Pool. And I'm like, it's me.<laugh>

Speaker 1:

How you doing<laugh>.

Speaker 2:

But I had a background. I was raised by two psychotherapists. I grew up with the social conditioning of helping. I grew up with the social conditioning of seeing things that weren't normal and processing them grew up with a social conditioning of not judging people, but finding empathy and how they got to where they're at. And I followed that path and I was a psychotherapist and state mental health institutions of Massachusetts for five years. Oh, really? And parallel decided to go the hard route and apply it for a neuro psychopathology MD PhD program and went to Harvard medical school for postbaccalaureate sponsorship program and did all this hard work. While I was working with people who were chronically mentally ill of schizophrenia, OA effectiveness, or order borderline person disorder, bipolar, et cetera, highly medicated. Um, and then when I got accepted, I had one of those cathartic moments in my life. I was gonna get married. And I just thought to myself, I got up in the middle of my living to Boston. I got up in the middle of my, and went out to our food town. For those of you who, you know, we're around in the nineties, you know, food

Speaker 1:

Time, I know a food, John, I know

Speaker 2:

A food TA in your apartment.<laugh> yes. I went out there and I really had this strange experience. Cause I was like, okay, I did all this work. I took the MCATs and I did the GREs G math. And I did the Harvard medical school thing. And I've done all of this work, but I don't want to go to school for more years. So I woke up my wife the next morning and says, I'm not doing it. She's like what?

Speaker 1:

After all that,

Speaker 2:

After all that. So then I went to business school at Babson. Full-time loved it and then went on my trajectory of, you know, M and a work and businesses and running companies all over the globe, fascinating work. So for me, the circle of coming back to brain science felt really natural, but also coming back to helping people, being a part of an enterprise that can fundamentally change the human condition and how we choose to live. That was so compelling. What made it unique because in our minds, as we mature, we get burned by so many marketing statements every day that we really, we create a level of skepticism. That's not fair. And we're hyper concerned of our own insecurities of not wanting to get ripped off again. So when we see things that sound too good to be true, often they are, but this is strange that our mind operates like that, right? It's just that a fear of, of looking of being humiliated again. So in this process, being a professional business person, I'm not gonna fall for that. So as soon as we decided to let's investigate this further, we brought in our corporate attorneys or accountants and our intellectual property, the attorneys, what was the linchpin for me in saying, okay, this is real. And this is viable. Was our intellectual property attorneys who evaluated the landscape for 10 weeks, came back to me and said, listen, if you get awarded this patent, you'll only, only patent in the world for managing the human stress response without drugs, the profundity of that statement and the magnitude. So good, Randy OS it's so big. You're like, wow, okay. My intuition's right. This is novel. This has never been done before. Mm-hmm<affirmative> this man is who he says he is. Let's go in October 26th, 2009. I assume the mantle of chairman of the board, president CEO of this neuroscience company with the expressed mission of changing humanity by bringing technologies to the world, predicated on really intense science, but easy to use, safe, safe, safe, no pharmacological intervention, no side effects, nothing. That was really important to me. So my life, since then Sandy has changed, uh, so many levels, but upon reflection, 13 years ago, I wasn't a human being I'm proud of today. I was really a hard driver. I was really AAA. I was really impatient. I was easy to judge cause I was running companies with a thousand strain, new employees and under a lot of pressure all the time, I was drinking too much. I was traveling too much. I wasn't present in my life. I was always looking for the next thing I was getting easily bored. I just wasn't. I, I'm not proud. Mm-hmm<affirmative>, you know, I wasn't a bad human being. I was doing good things for people. When you take over a company of one intention, improve that company, improve the company for the customers, improve the company for the employees, improve the customer stakeholders and the shareholders you want to do. Right? Yeah. That's what you want to do. But how about doing that for a company that that can actually do right for humanity, not just for profit. So there, that was the Genesis of my, uh, beginning with Dr. Holloway and this entire journey. That's been 13 years in the, and I can tell you, sometimes it feels like it's been two days and sometimes it feels like it's been a hundred years, but it's so fascinating. I work in brain science. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So you said a few things there and I really resonated with a couple of them. Number one is the nose itch.<laugh> you, you talked about the nose itch and how you were in a session and your nose was itching and you didn't really care. Like it was like, ah, whatever, cuz I've had that exact same experience using the NuCalm. And I, I, I love that because normally you'd be like, oh, I gotta scratch that itch. Right. When you're in this session, you're somehow so Zen that you're like, eh, I'll deal with that later. I'm I'm more interested in what my body and my brain are doing right now, which is chilling to a love I've never chilled to. And the one thing I will say, I've tried so many different, I'm gonna call them biohacking gadgets. I'm not gonna CLA I, I know this is not the same as many of those other things that are out there, but I've tried many wearables. This one works every single time. It's, it's always consistent. What I have found in trying many of these relaxation, you know, headbands and things like that is that sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. So maybe it's a good time to really explain what NuCalm is because it's multidimensional. It's not about just putting a headband on and hoping that it puts you in a Zen state and lowers your stress. I hope you guys are really enjoying this episode as much as I enjoy bringing it to you, but I have to talk to you a little bit about a product that I totally love. And this product is called wave block. Did you know that wireless earbuds, cell phones and many other Bluetooth products function by emitting radiation? Well, if you've been listening to me and following me for a while, you know, that they do, did you know that this radiation is even more harmful for children than adults? In fact, in 2019 more than 250 scientists signed a petition asking the international public health organization to create stronger guidelines and warn on the use of wireless and Bluetooth, electronics scientists have strong evidence to believe that EMF radiation causes several different health problems. Wave block products are perfect for you. If you always have your phone in your hand or at head, or if you're using those AirPods to listen to podcasters like myself for many hours a day here at wave block, they choose not to turn away from the latest and greatest technology. Hey, are you really going to tell your teenager that they can't use their AirPods? Or how about their phone, right. I'm sure you know exactly my pain. So at wave block, they dedicated themselves to hours of research, engineering and testing to create a safer way to use your favorite electronic products, wave block stickers, which have hundreds of five star reviews are made to easily attached to cell phones and wireless earbuds so that you can enjoy your favorite gadgets with lowered risk by significantly reducing your to radiation. How the stickers are lab proven to deflect EMF waves away from the brain. You can watch a video about how wave block stickers work@waveblock.com. Get 20% off today. Speaker 2:

So remember, I just talked about the skepticism that we're naturally built or socially condition to be skeptical. Yeah, you should be. Gadgets are exactly that they're gadgets. When you understand the complexity of the brain, it's quickly understood that a single gadget cannot manage the human brain, the autonom nervous system or central nervous system with any predictability. It doesn't work that way. So complex problems demand complex solution. So you're right. NuCalm was a multidimensional solution. So the Genesis of Newcomb and why this came to be is Dr. Holloway had a clinical practice in San Antonio, Texas serving the traumatized community. So of the male population, probably 95% of his clientele were males coming out of the theater of war San. Antonio's gonna a really big, uh, veteran community. And on the female side, it's female victims of emotional, psychological sexual abuse. Trauma's trauma, the magnitude of traumas commensurate with your epigenetics and your lifestyle today, and also the magnitude of trauma. So in trauma, which is the worst of the seven diagnosable anxiety disorders, if you want to figure out where the worst lifestyle or profile of humanity is to live in is the traumatized brain. So of the seven diagnosable anxiety disorders, that's the worst. And the issue is this. We have essential nervous system. We have an autonomic nervous system. The central nervous system is constantly evaluating us for familiarity and security. It has one primary function. Self-preservation it has five senses in your intuition to go on. So when you go into a new environment, doesn't matter what, where hot, you know, or why your senses are peaked. This is why we're fatigued when we travel because your central nervous system is, Hey, Sandy, where are you? Is this safe? Mm-hmm,<affirmative> none of this looks familiar. I need benchmarks. I need to establish a foundation and a grounding so that I can ease off the hyper vigilance. So the central nervous system is constantly evaluating you for familiarity and security. When the trauma occurs your central nervous system through evolutionary psychology does two things that are quite damaging to you. Number one, your central nervous system loses faith in the universe. That's a really big problem. Number two, your central nervous system loses faith in you to protect you from the universe. It doesn't trust this results in a constant state of high alert throughout the entire wakefulness of the day. And through the dreamscape. When you look at a pet scan of the traumatized brain, it's amazing to see because you can't see it to the person walking down the street. One of the biggest challenges is the human ability to not understand what we can't see. So somebody coming out of the theater of war, who's seen so much that the brain's traumatized and they start acting weird. We judge them and we think they're weak or confused or weird. Now, if you see a pet scan of their brain, you'll see three fundamental areas where blood flow has been restricted. The hippocampus, which is your memory center, the prefrontal frontal cortex. So the prefrontal frontal cortex is our forehead. This separates us from primates and in our forehead and the evolution of this area of our brain, which is about 4 million years. This is the neuronal circuitry. That is also our character, our personality, our patients, our ability to be present in the moment without judgment, our emotional stability, our logic, our left brain thinking and our analysis. So you can see this is an important part of our brain. Well, when blood flow restricts there and blood flow restricts to the memory center that traumatized brain now lives in the constant perseverating state of high alert, hyper vigilance, and reliving the memory with the anxiety and the feelings to go with it. This is a mess and you can't help, but just your heart just explodes with empathy for people living like this. This is Blake's cross to bear. This is what he wants to do with his life. Blake was also the victim of significant abuse as a young child. So he brought this empathy to his world. Now he had the intellectual capacity and horsepower of no person I'd ever met before my life. And I have met a lot of very smart people. In fact, our company alone has 52 medical advisors, AC commission, scientists, and doctors, 52 of the world's best statistical biophysicist from Harvard medical school. And that's a mathematicians of former medical director of the NFL. We have a who's who and my guesstimate is if you put all 50 of our advisors together, one room and Blake in the other room, Blake's gonna have more horsepower. Mm-hmm<affirmative> he was not a human, um, like anybody I'd ever met. In fact, I'm not sure he was even human. So his intellectual curiosity and his determination to help people resolve trauma because the, the traumatized brain is going to find solace somewhere. And typically, because the brain is so smart, the brain says, Hey, Sandy, you're in pain right now. I bet if we have some alcohol, we can get out pain really quickly and predictably, and tomorrow we can resolve this issue. So what do you say? Let's find a bar. That's how that starts. It's not cuz they're weak. It's cuz it's a brain need to get out of psychic pain. So the comorbidity of trauma and addiction is very high because of that reason. So Blake in 1990 began a quest to find a way that was non narcotic based solution to this problem. So understanding the Genesis of how NuCalm came to be is important because you're looking at not just somebody who wants to manage stress for the human, he wants to manage stress for the most complicated, most corrupt brain on the planet, the traumatized brain that is so in pain. And so physiologically changed. That's incredible. So 32 years of invention, discovery, patents, medical devices, et cetera. The whole premise of Newcomb. Sandy is not to cure you a PTSD. The whole premise of Newcomb is to help you down regulate the sympathetic nervous system. So we talked about the central nervous system. We also have an autonomic nervous system and most people aren't familiar with it. Maybe in 10th grade biology studied it for, you know, a week. The autonomic nervous system is fascinating and it's really important piece of our existence. It has two sides, the sympathetic nervous system, which is the stress response and the Paris empathetic nervous system, which is the rest and digest. But the autonomic nervous system also governs human fear, stress, anxiety, depression, and worry. Think about that. Mm-hmm<affirmative> that part of our brain manages fear, stress, anxiety, depression, and worry. Okay, what else is there? Well, there's joy and happiness and function and you know, efficiency and articulation, but that's the autonomic nervous system. So in the traumatized brain, that person has lost the capability to self-regulate cuz essential nervous system is constantly finding triggers to activate your fight or flight mm-hmm<affirmative>. So that was why this came to be. So our goal in Newcomb is to give you a tool, not to judge you, not to ask permission, but simply to take you to a state that allows your body to quickly down regulate the sympathetic side of your nervous system and raise the rest and digest. So theoretically it seems simple or what it takes. One of the brightest human beings on earth. Who's a quantum physicist, naturopath neuroscientist, 30 years. It gives you an idea. This isn't a gadget we're dealing with the most complex organ in the history of mankind, the human brain. So that's how we got here and what are we doing? Okay. I'm gonna take a second here and we're gonna talk a little bit about something that many of you will have never even thought about or understand and you're going to, and we're done. Okay. All right, let's go. We're gonna talk about frequency and resonance and how the body and brain works. So your brain functions in a daily basis in a range of 41, Herz 41 Herz down to 0.5 Herz. Now this is important to note because where our frequency is, is where our mind and body are. This is mathematics, this isn't up for debate. So let's start at the low level. The slowest wave form is four herds down to 0.5 Hertz. This wave form is called Delta mm-hmm<affirmative> and it's commensurate with deep dreamless like sleep. When your brain is in Delta, your brain is healing and recovering. You're not thinking about anything. You're literally like in a coma. That's the slowest wave form. When we go a little faster in frequency, four hurts to seven Hertz. It's called theta. Theta is really important because it's also known as the healing zone. Why is it known as the healing zone? Well, in theta when your brain wave is oscillating in that frequency, your is doing two really important things for resilience and immune health longevity, and just good living. Number one, it's cleaning the toxins outta the cells. This is the only time in your 24 hour bio rhythm that your body cleans their cells and does your cells and their maintenance. This is really important to keep you from disease. Number two, the MI, which is the energy source of the cell is restored. So theta is the healing zone. If you think about what the experience is in theta, it's like a lucid dream state with what's called a hypnagogic dissociation. You lose sense of time and space. You're in Ram. You're just above that deep sleep. That's theta Alpha's above theta. 12 hurts to eight hurts and alpha. Many people have heard about many of your listeners probably know about alpha. When you're doing transcendental meditation. When you wanna be in a creative state, a zone of relaxation, feel grounded and just in a state of, of calm that's alpha. So relaxation, calm creativity. Then we go into the, this range of human function, beta B E T a 13 Hertz to 15 Hertz is alert, functioning adult, okay. Or we're functioning kid 15 to 20 Hertz is focus. So if your brain is oscillating between 15 and 20 Hertz, you have a distraction free focus zone.<affirmative> this is a amazing, it's not up for debate. This is reality. Right? So good example of that would be I wake up today. It's Friday, mentally I'm lethargic. And I don't really wanna be a participant in today. Okay. We've all felt that way before. It's like, Ugh, is it really the day I don't wanna be here. Then we have a cup of coffee and all of a sudden, Hey, a little shot of optimism. I can do this. Yeah. And then your to-do list starts to kick in this isn't magic or a miracle. Sandy, this is simply your brain wave frequency has been kicked up from 13 Hertz to like 15 her that's it? Yeah. That's what this does. So 15 to 20 hurts is focus. 20 to 25 is stressed. 25 to 30 is very high stress in 30 to 38, you are stressed out of your mind. In fact, your mind is not working cuz your body's mobilized to protect you from a threat. And then there's this interesting zone called gamma 39 to 41 Hertz. This is known to be this sweet spot. That's hard to get to it's commensurate with higher cautiousness, but it's also with high intensity mistake free focus. Okay. That is a landscape of humanity, right? If my brain is a set hurts, I'm focused. If my brain is at one hurts, I'm in deep sleep. If my brain is at five hurts, I'm healing. If my brain is at 11 hurts, I'm creative. That's life. Yes. Nobody tells us that. Nobody knows this, but that's how life is. That's why as a human, we are a dynamic entity. That's constantly in perpetual. You're never the same ever. Yeah. So sometimes you have fleeting sense of happiness. It doesn't sustain cuz of brain wave function and how you oscillate. So that's the, that's the landscape that Blake wanted to play in. And so new calm, the whole goal of new calm is to take your brain wave function. And instead of coffee and increasing your of frequency, he's going to slow down your brain frequency into alpha and theta. The whole premise of what we're doing is to take all human beings and gently guide you to this state that allows your mind and body to restore, heal and recover on demand with no drugs. That's what we've done.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. I, and I, I notice that whenever I do a NuCalm session and I come out of it, I'm not tired. I come out of it refreshed even though my brain was in that like deep theta state.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

I come out and I'm like, oh, ready to go. You know, sometimes when you have a nap during the day and you wake up and you're like groggy afterwards and it takes you time, like, and then you're kind of sluggish for the rest of the day. That doesn't happen with this.

Speaker 2:

No, cuz you're not going into Delta. If you'd take a nap, you glide right into Delta and then you're lahar it afterwards. Cuz your brainwave needs to get back up into beta.

Speaker 1:

Right? Um,

Speaker 2:

Newcomb will, will never leave you feeling groggy. And if it were, we wouldn't have people using it. I mean we work with the elite department of defense, elite, military operators, professional athletes, pilots. Nobody would give this a second go. If you got a feeling lethargic, right? Why does that work? How does that work? Why do you feel refreshed? NuCalm? When we oscillate you in theta, the experience is unique and we'll talk about the components in a minute. But the experience is unique. You find this nice, safe place to lie down. You apply new calm and takes about 20 seconds. And then for the first five, 10 minutes, nothing's really happening. You're kind of preparing, we call this the departure lounge. The reason we call this, the departure lounge is we all have the central nervous system that will not allow anything to just take you into theta. The nurses was like, no, that's not safe. We're not going with you. Right? So we have to kind of guide you. So we started at 13 Hertz and we take you down to nine and up to 10 and down to eight and up to 12. And so the first 10 minutes of new call, you're just lying there. You might be thinking about your to-do list. You might be dream about summer vacation, who else, but then all of a sudden you feel a separation and you feel your body start to get really heavy. Mm-hmm<affirmative> you feel your respiration slow down your hands and your feet might Twitch. This is a release of muscle tension. Your hands and your feet might feel a little chill. This is the release of adrenaline and we are taking you the theta. So you literally can feel it happen. If you're paying attention, you can feel this whole separation happen. And on NuCalm for the entirety, your mind is kind of wandering. So the key to anything mindful the key to TA Chi, the key to yoga, the key to meditation, deep breathing is to oxygenate the body from your toes to your prefrontal cortex. The body's healing element is oxygen. So if we can put oxygen rich red blood through the body we win. And that's what Newcomb does. Not directly. It does it by slowing your respiration rate down to one breath, every 10 N seconds, which is the ultimate DIAP formatic breathing for a human. If you want the most volume of a oxygen, RI red blood in your body, try breathing six, press a minute. That's exactly what Nicole is doing by levitating your brainwave just above sleep and in that sweet spot for cellular restoration. So theta is, is the key. Any doctor listening to this, any functional medicine, integrative medicine, anybody in the healing arts knows if I can activate the vagus nerve, if I can raise the parasympathetic nervous system and I can bring the brain wave function to theta, you win. You want better resilience. You want clearer thinking. You want more control over your emotions. Want better performance. You want better sleep. You want to feel better. You wanna be less, you know, prone to drugs and alcohol and all these things that are dopamine centers activate. All of this is predicated on this healing zone. So that is what we're doing. The experience is incredible. You get out of Newcomb and you feel amazing. You feel amazing. Yep. And all we did was open up new pathways in your frontal cortex, your prefrontal cortex and your hippocampus. And we put blood flow to the key areas of your brain so that you can access your character and your personality, not the autonomic nervous system, which as you recall, governs fear, stress, anxiety, and depression and worry. So before I get into the components of the new calm, I just wanna share with people how this works to modify our behavior. Yeah. We, humans are amazing. We're so competitive. Everything has to have a comparison. We're always comparing ourselves to others, comparing others to others. Our brain just works that way. It's limited in that way, right? It seems like we should evolve faster where we can kind of get beyond that. But we're constantly looking at stuff and thinking through stuff. But what's fascinating, Sandy is that we don't even know the board we're playing with. We're not in tune. No one tells us what this means to be human. Well, I'm gonna share with you the chess board, you ready? Okay. In your brain, it is all about resource allocation. We all know that there's many moms on this phone call, right? Or on this podcast, guess what you do resource allocation every day. Where's your time and energy gonna be spent? What food are you gonna serve? What this now? Who, where do your kids need to be? What, whatever, what's your job. What's all the balance. It's all resource allocation. It's your time, your energy, your effort and your mental thinking resource allocation on a daily basis for emotion and thinking and doing it's all built around two choices. I can have oxygen Richard blood cells to my prefrontal cortex in my forehead or my central nervous system sees something that doesn't like any triggers. The autonomic nervous system, which happens to be the reptilian part of our brain. Mm-hmm<affirmative> the reptilian part of our brain hits fear, stress, anxiety, depress to worry. So when we are triggered and the<inaudible> part of our brain is mobilized. We have all of our resources in fear, stress, depression, anxiety, or worry. And there's no blood flow to our character. Personality patients presence. That's the game. The challenge is this. The primorial mid brain. What we call the reptilian brain is 40 million years evolved, but your frontal cortex is 4 million years evolved. So every day when a human starts, their day, they have to make up a 36 million year head starter of the most sophisticated per affected neuro circuitry, 40 million years of evolution, your spite or flight, your fear, stress, anxiety, depression, and worry. It's a very sophisticated system. So when we're triggered and all the blood flow goes to that area of our brain and we lose our personality. That's our challenge. So now that we know the landscape, now maybe we cannot be so judgemental and quick to judge people because people, when they are in a state of worry or they're activated and they're in a threat, there's typically two paths. They go, it's either anger or sadness. That's the, that's kind of how we're programmed, right? And people do things out of these emotions. But if we understood that they're simply acting based on the neuronal circuitry of their brain, we'd be less judgemental. That's what it means to be a human mm-hmm<affirmative>. We are battling resources all the time. So Newcomb is a gift to humanity. Blake Holloway is one of the most amazing human beings to ever walk this earth. And it makes me sad every day. And I miss him every day. He passed away on December 20th, 2020, and I love him. And it's what he brought to this world. And the passion he and someone spending 32 years of their life is so incredible to me. But he changed the landscape of how humans can operate because Sandy I'm a 53 year old father of three girls, 2018, tomorrow and 15. I run a global neuroscience company. I travel about 250 to 300 days a year. I've been doing it for 30 years. My lifestyle is definitely prone to stress, but I have none. Hmm. I have none. I use this tool every day. I am wholly incap of meditating. I was a wrestler and I wrestled for 19 years. And then I got into martial arts and had two black belts and ran a dojo. And in martial large, you meditate because you need to augment or, or balance the aggression. I was the worst meditator on earth. Mm-hmm<affirmative>. I would have an anxiety attack. Every time I sat in meditation position closed my eyes. This is terrible. I'm not gonna meditate. I'm not at six feet, 225 pounds with a big upper body and chicken legs. Not gonna get into yoga at tire and go do yoga. I'm not gonna do it.<laugh> I'm not gonna go do TA Chi. Cause I I'm a, I'm a physical guy. I like aggressive martial arts. I wanna kick you in the face. Not do TA Chi. So the choices for me were so limited. I was never going to take care of myself. And I know upon reflection that the way I did take care of myself is I drank. Cause you<affirmative> brain knows, Hey, alcohol's getting some days you can drink a beer and it goes down like water. You're like, oh, there's a lot of stress built up in there. Yeah. It's gonna be one of those nights. So for me personally, this is such a gift to change my life and a cumulative fashion. It's become such a trusted friend in my life. We call it a confidant. Newcomb has never judge me. It's always been there. It has never let me down. And it just takes care of me and allows me to be a better human being. Not because I'm on a mission and I'm working with monks. That's not the mission I'm on. It allows me to be a better performer. So I can bring this technology to the world with such a persistence in patience. Because when you're pioneering new things, the world has no point of reference. What we have done has never been done before. And I don't even most if it's even been thought of before. So what we've been doing this and I've been lecturing around the world for 13 years and 10 ago. No one understood anything else even talking about. Fortunately, people are starting to wake up for the need for recovery and meditation and mindfulness and not go, go, go, go, go. Yeah. So it's time to share with you how this works.

Speaker 1:

Can I ask you a question?

Speaker 2:

Absolutely.

Speaker 1:

Does it actually alter any parts of the brain permanently?

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

Like does it create new neural pathways? Does it,

Speaker 2:

It does it every single time you do it.

Speaker 1:

Ah,

Speaker 2:

Okay. We have a foundational therapy for the traumatized brain and we've been helping thousands of veterans every day. Do exactly that. And I tell them, I said, we're not a miracle. Your body's a miracle. But because you had restricted blood flow from the trauma to key areas, your brain, you were stuck. Yeah. There was no neuronal coherence. There was no new cognitive pathways, oxygen, red foot blood cells in your brain when your new calming are opening up all of these areas and the physiological improvement is amazing. Whether it's a concussive act, whether it's TBI, uh, so a physical trauma or mental trauma, emotional trauma, it changes the landscape of that brain and allows that person, the opportunity to heal. Number one, by slowing down the stress response, those people who are traumatized or most people that are filled with anxiety can't self-regulate and they can't down regulate mm-hmm<affirmative> once they're triggered, they're done. And what's crazy is they know once I'm triggered, I'm done. I, I can do nothing. Yeah. NuCalm, stops all of that. So yes, every time you new calm, you're going on a journey of liberating. Your SUBC opening up your healing mechanisms and creating new neuro here and new learning thus. And you'll probably, you probably already know this since you've been doing nuclear for a few weeks, little things, I call'em an accumulation of subtleties. You're probably noticing that things that normally would agitate you no longer

Speaker 1:

Do. Totally, totally

Speaker 2:

All that is, is oxygen to those areas of brain. So it allows you to see the trigger and instead of react, which most of us do, you're allowed to respond. Now it's not a miracle. It's your, this part of your brain. The frontal cortex now has more balance than the reptilian side of your brain. Totally.

Speaker 1:

We talked about this last week, remember the financial discussion that my husband and I avoid all the time and we had one<laugh> and it didn't end up in an argument and I certainly didn't react the way I normally do. And I think he was shocked like, who is this person? This is not my wife.<laugh> what did you do to my wife? What did you do to my wife? Uh, but yeah, I hear you

Speaker 2:

Get stuck in patterns. We get stuck in patterns. Totally. Newcomb is a pattern interrupt and we've helped so many people in the relationship side because as we do well, all of us are easily triggered and it's not cuz we're weak and it's not cuz we're pedestrian. It's not cuz we don't evolve. It's because the brain, the central nervous system needs habits. We are creatures of habit because we have to be otherwise you'd be so fatigued every day. Cuz all of your senses would be peaked, trying to establish familiarity and security. Right? So you it's amazing. And that piece is just, it's such a gift for all of us to, if you can take 7.6 billion people on earth and switch that stress trigger from being reacting to being responsive. Oh wow. We change the world. Yeah. That's what we're doing.

Speaker 1:

Totally.

Speaker 2:

So how does the NuCalm work if it's not a gadget and it's 32 years of science, we have the only patents in the world. It used to be a$6,000 class, three medical device, FDA health, Canada, military approved. This is hardcore neuroscience with hardcore path of neuroscience invention. There's three components to NuCalm simply because of the sophistication of the brain. The first component is called a bio signal processing disc. And this disc is doing something very important to your biochemistry. Our bodies don't want to be invaded by a technology by a surgical procedure, by a needle. It doesn't. Our body is a very strong resistance pathway called adrenaline. We can do amazing things when we're in fear mm-hmm<affirmative> and we're activating adrenaline. So we don't wanna try to override your adrenaline. One of the reasons neurobio feedback is unpredictable and still not efficacious across the population. 70 years, still not working effectively is because doesn't do anything with the biochemistry. So some days my stress response will be able to resist the neuro valve feedback and other days it won't. So there's no predictability because we're not handling the biochemistry. If your brain in your body communicate in two pathways and only two pathways, electrical messaging and chemical messaging and blinks brilliance in his persistence in his trial and error was to say, Hey, I need to commande both channels. So the bio signal processing disc looks like a sticker. It is very, very complicated. Science, very complicated, took six years to invent. But the whole premise of it is to activate. What's called the GABAergic system. Your bio has adrenaline people know about adrenaline. People have heard about cortisol and ketamines and no epinephrine and epinephrine and adrenaline great people may even know about the adrenal cortex. Okay? But very few people know about gamma Americ acid. GABA GABA is a primary inhibitory neurotransmitter and the balance in your body for adrenaline without GABA, you would not live. So it makes it pretty important. So knowing that the body has a natural amino acid that can counteract adrenaline, we've been on a quest for 13 years to find the easiest, his path to do this. When we started we three very large like horse type pills that you had to chew and hold in your mouth for two minutes. So that we'd have sublingual absorption. And we had a stimulation device that helped with the absorption. All we were trying to do was saturate your brain with GABA. Then we moved to a transdermal cream and it was a higher adoption, but you still had a cream. You put on your neck and the stimulation device and we're and the stimulation device was a class three medical device. So we always played in this realm of very hardcore science. We sold only to doctors for years and it was expensive. Well we're never gonna change the world. I can't liberate Sandy and your friends and the whole world selling a$6 complicated medical device, right? Our quest has always been to help humanity. So we went on a six year invention path and the last thing Blake invented before he passed away was this disc. Ah, it looks like a sticker. It has an adhesive element to it. It looks like the size of the us quarter and it has a mathematical design on it. It is so sophisticated. What it's doing is it's basically serving as a tuning fork and it's oscillating at a certain frequency so that your cells in your brain pick up the frequency and we activate the GABA frequency. So we are slowing down adrenaline by interrupting the secretion of adrenaline using immuno acid. So there's a disc that goes under your left wrist. Okay. Goes actually on the pericardium six it's it's an acting pressure point. Yeah. That disc slows down adrenaline and allows for three things. One a fast acting, relaxation response. Like you said, when we started, it seems to work every single time. That's one of the reasons, two, a very deep experience and three long lasting effect of the benefits. Then you have an eye mask. So for you physiologists who are listening to this, you know that the cerebral cortex, 80% of our SBR cortex is, are visual cortex. So over the five senses that takes in the most information, our eyes are amazing. We can't med it tape or relax or slow down or sleep with our eyes open. There's too much information, too much stimulation. So we have an eye mask. Great. So now we have the first two steps of amazement. Now comes the cool stuff. You're gonna listen to music. The music's beautiful. It is. It's built in this unique Serio ancient music scale with credible instrumentation, 3d holophonic microphone recordings of nature, five twenty eight Hertz miracle tone, 4 30, 2 Hertz healing tone. The Estio music scale is the ancient music scale that predated contemporary a scale music that was in brought to the market by the Nazis in the 1940s. Okay. They said, Hey, if we change the music scale, we can then train people better and get them to do what we want. Easier. Isn't that crazy? That worked. Yeah, totally. The whole music scale shifted the so music scales commensurate with the ancient geometry of the universe. It's all Matt mathematics, the world oscillates in vibration frequency of mathematics. In fact, as a side note, 7.83 Hertz is called the Shumon resonance it's between alpha and theta. The Shon resonance is the first magnetic rotation. It's a frequency of the earth, but it's also the frequency of the body cavity. Your body resonates at 7.8, three Hertz. Oh interesting. Everything is mathematical. Yeah. We just don't know this cuz we're not taught it. So we have the disc, we have the eye mask and now we have software music by itself. Ladies and gentlemen can never take your brain to a certain state and keep you there. That is physi logically impossible. So someone says, Hey, listen to this music. It's gonna take you to theta say no thanks cuz clearly you don't understand the complexity of the brain. The brain can't do that. Music. Can't do that. Music can take you up a little bit or take you down a little bit, looking at a radio dial on the left side, classical music. It might slow you down. And on the right hand side, heavy metal might Jack you up, but it can't take and shift your state at a beta. It doesn't work that way. It's physiologically impossible. So music for us as a carrier, a carrier for the most sophisticated patented neuro neuro acoustic software that is doing the work. So underneath the music is 8 million of, of this physics, mathematics and algorithms tricking your brain and slowing it down. So I liken it to the analogy of that beautiful national geographic picture of iceberg. 500 feet above the water line is just majestic, beautiful ice. But underneath the water lines, about 10,000 feet of ice, that's what we're doing. You're gonna hear nice music as a destroy action as a nice piece of the experience. But underneath is where all the magic's happening. And all we're doing is presenting your brain with a pattern that your brain follows.

Speaker 1:

And we can't hear it, right? Like it's not like you can decipher the sound that's underneath you. Can't it's almost like that dog whistle that only dogs can hear, but we

Speaker 2:

Can't. Well, dogs, cats and horses can hear it.

Speaker 1:

Oh really?

Speaker 2:

So you have pets and, and they new calling in the room with you. They can hear it. You you'll wake up and they're chill.

Speaker 1:

Aren't you supposed to? Oh God, I need that for my dog. Um, aren't you supposed to have headphones though? You're

Speaker 2:

Supposed to yeah, they can hear, they can hear it through the headphones really? Oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's so interesting. Yeah, we

Speaker 2:

Have, we have many equine therapists that use NuCalm to calm their horses before therapy. We've got thousands of people sending us pictures of cats and dogs passed out while they're listening to NuCalm. Even if it's ambient, even if you just put it on your computer, the dog can hear what we're doing. We can't.

Speaker 1:

I need that for my other dog.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. 12 to four Hertz is inaudible to the human ear. You can't hear what we're doing.

Speaker 1:

Right? Right. So it's not the last column. It's but it's not the same as Boral beats either. No

Speaker 2:

We're using Boral signal processing is one of the elements to present the brain with a signal. No, we have the only patents in the world for NuCalm. Okay. That's a really big deal. Yeah. But we have the only patents in the world for a neuro acoustic software that can elicit a state change. Nobody else has ever done remotely close to what we have. And it takes a lot of courage to create a patent because you tell the world, this is exactly what we did. Yeah. Try to figure it out. You won't try to try to match the quantum physicist. Naturopath neuroscientist, Blake Holloway's 32 year invention path. Good luck. You won't figure it out. It's that complicated, but here's, what's cool. It's so easy to use. It is like this got your wrist. And I mask you select a track to a mobile app and off you go, that's it. That's Newcomb. Yep.<affirmative> you do this every day. We will change your light. You do this every day. We will welcome you back to control of your emotional stability. You do this every day. We will give you the gift of improving your sleep quality. You do this every day. We'll give you the gift of actually waking up and being excited for the day of being energized of sleeping. You do this every day. We'll give you after dreaming again. I've got this craziest, silliest, most incredible dreams every night for like 10 years. It's insane. When it first started happening, I would tell my wife, she's like, you're crazy. Like I have no idea what's happen in here, but it's all predicated on the gaur system and the need for GABA, for sleep chemistry. We need me tone and serotonin and GABA for sleep. The problem in today's world is our food supply no longer has the balance. So we're not getting the amino acids in the food that we eat and taking a supplement is really difficult. Cause the body doesn't absorb supplements. Well, it does a great job of extracting nutrients from food. Cause it knows how to do that. Millions of years of evolution. It's got that figured out, but it doesn't do a great job of supplementation. And furthermore, you have to cross a blood brain barrier, which is the most restrictive barrier in the history of the planet. So Newcomb is three simple steps, but Newcomb is an all that we offer. Is it

Speaker 1:

Sandy? No, it is not. It's not. It is not.

Speaker 2:

So when we started this discussion, I shared with you frequency range of human function, 41, Herdz down to five Hertz. We have created a platform and we launched it on November 15, 20, 21. The only disappointment in that launch was Blake Holloway had passed away 11 months prior. So he didn't get to see his baby, his oh, come to life. Okay. Oh, today a human being can change their mental state on demand. Without drugs and without side effects, what does that mean? If I want energy, I can listen to something called ignite warrior brain and ignite warrior brain takes my brain wave function from 15 Herdz to 40 Hertz, that sweet spot that's that elicits sensory motor rhythm, motor cortex, peripheral vision musculature. It allows you to perform at your highest level. It's a mood enhancer and you feel amazing. That's I will probably use that after this cuz it's a Friday and I've got four more conference calls coming up. Great. I will NuCalm. I will NuCalm every day. I will NuCalm to make up for my sleep debt. I will NuCalm to enhance my mood. I will do calm if I feel overwhelmed. As soon as I start feeling overwhelmed, I'm like, I'm not tolerating. This I'll go NuCalm. No, when I get up, everything seems normal. It's like you slept on it. And it only took 20 or 30 minutes. Okay. Right. And then tonight I listen to deep sleep and deep sleep is an incredibly powerful invention. It took us eight years to create and the physics is very complicated, but the delivery is simple. You listen to it with a speaker next to your bed and it takes your brain into deep sleep. So our portfolio of products offer humans for the first time in history, the capability to change your state on demand with no side effects. Yeah. You can change your state through monster energy drink. You can change your state through three cups of coffee this afternoon, but you're also compromising your microbiome, your gut, your acidity, everything. Yes. With ignite warrior brain. You're not. So that's what we have. That's what we've built. That's how we're changing the world. That's the path and the mission we're on. And I guarantee you with absolute certainty, we will do what we intend to do. And the universe is backing us. We work with incredible personnel. We've been doing this for 13 years. We work across the department of defense. We help your highly war fighters and operators secure and keep our world safe. We work with monks monks. We chill out monks. You know, society's got problems when monks need to be chilled with new call, we work with celebrities. We work with pilots. We work with cancer patients. We with moms and dads and students. It's amazing. And here's what I've learned. Everybody on earth has the same consequence of being human. We're all fighting a 36 million year head start between our patients, presence, character and personality versus fear, stress, anxiety, depression, and worry. We all suffer stress. We that some person's stress is different than others. No, it's not because the physiological response to stress is exactly identical in me as it is to everybody listening to this. Yeah. Whatever stresses me is different, but the response is identical. So we all suffer stress and we all need help managing that stress.

Speaker 1:

What about contraindications or age? Zero restrictions like zero, zero. So your 16 year old who's anxious before some sort of a competition can use this

Speaker 2:

Your 16 year. Old's anxious every day. It's crazy. The anxiety that our kids are living through today, I know the highest level of anxiety ever put on humans. You know, maybe in cave days, they had higher anxiety, but it's sad. Uh, COVID has changed the landscape of all of humanity. Totally. It's challenged our central nervous system. It's fatigued all of us mentally, for those of us who had a proclivity towards anxiety, we're having more OUS response. For those of us who had an epigenetic, predisposition, depression, we're having more depressive episodes. And the sad part Sandy is that we are we're desperate and we don't know how to help. So we're giving our kids subscription medicine. What we're prescribing antidepressants to a child's brain. That's not fully developed. Yeah. That has got very, very negative consequences to it because the human brain is the strongest compensatory mechanism on earth. You create side effects cuz the body tries to manage and override whatever you're giving to it. The<affirmative> anxiety today is, is unacceptable. Mm-hmm<affirmative> and furthermore to the child. Once you go through puberty, the hormonal dysregulation changes your circadian rhythm teenagers don't have a circadian rhythm. You and I, Sandy, can't get up at five 30 Monday through Friday, go to school and then on Saturday, sleep till noon and doesn't work that way.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Kids don't have a circadian rhythm. So there's two times in the course of life in the arc of our life where your hormonal dysregulation compromises your circadian rhythm, that is puberty and that hormonal period and menopause. Those are the two times where you need help because your sleep is good. Gonna be egregiously impacted. Totally. Uh, so the kid absolutely the 16 year old, if you can take away insecurity, confusion, fear, anxiety, panic, and give them presence of mind and patience and memory consolidation. My children have been using new column for almost 13 years,

Speaker 1:

Really

Speaker 2:

18, 20 and 15. Get, I raised three Mons. They're never sick. They've been in a sick day. Three children.

Speaker 1:

Are they chill?

Speaker 2:

Uh, my older one is typical. First child controls everything in his bully pants.

Speaker 1:

Okay. She's not chill. Okay. Okay. My

Speaker 2:

Middle child is your typical middle child. She's chill. She's like Switzerland. And then my younger child wants all the attention. So she's not chill.

Speaker 1:

<laugh> got it.

Speaker 2:

There's two kids.

Speaker 1:

They are.

Speaker 2:

There's not a lot of emotional drama. I'll tell you that. How's

Speaker 1:

That with three girls, not a lot of three girls, not a lot of emotional drama. What?

Speaker 2:

It's been an amazing, uh, opportunity to parent three girls now being a boy and being raised with identical twin brother. I knew nothing about women. Oh yeah. Except you know, being with them, you know, intimately or whatever it's been so fascinating. Women are so complicated. It is so incredible to me.

Speaker 1:

Yes we are.

Speaker 2:

So at our home for every meal of our, our entire existence, as a family, there's no tech allowed at any meal. And so it's just dialogue and I just listen. Right? I talk enough leading this company. I just listen. I'm always like, wow, you ladies can complicate anything. It's crazy. That solicit right here. It's simple. It's so fascinating. And I, I think I told people on a lecture list the other day I was like, I am so thankful every day that I'm a dude.<laugh> because women are so complicated now physiologically you're different. And people don't know this two things you can do that. I can't do. Number one, you can multitask. It's almost a physiological, impossible ability are men. And all times two, you can worry cuz there's more information passing across the CPUs. Colosal men. Can't worry. So if I wake up in my moms like, oh I gotta a four and I had to get on new call. Cause I couldn't stop worrying, worried about what, what Lulu's gonna wear to graduation. What<laugh> three months away. And she'd be like, you're not worried. I said, no, I'm not worried. It doesn't make me call. I'm incapable of worrying. I don't worry about it. Another thing is men are programmed for solutions. So when she comes to me and need the solution, it's right there. I'm like do this. She didn't want a solution. She just wants me to listen to.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's it. That's it.

Speaker 2:

So thankfully you, you guys, you have to host a baby apartment in your stomach and it's insane what women go through. So yes, when I lecture, I tell man, I said, it's like a get outta jail, free card every day of my life. I'm so thankful for being a man. And I love raising three girls and my job as a dad is to inspire and give them confidence to live whatever life they want. That's it. That's my a job.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. I like that. I, um, I would like to just close off with a couple of things because we've learned a lot here on this recording. I have to talk about my personal experience with this because I feel that my audience loves to know what I think when I try something and a couple of things, a couple of times that I've used this, I've had tears. I'm like, what? Like what's going on? Why is this happening? And I I'm gonna let you describe what's going on there. So me let's start with that and you call it NewCom tears. So why does this happen? Sometimes? Because it's happened to me twice and the second time it happened, I could actually identify and pinpoint something that happened the night before I had the NewCom and my neighbor who's lived beside me for 20 years, I saw four sale sign go on their lawn. And I immediately texted and went, oh my God, what? You're leaving us. And then I said to my husband, I feel really sad. And he looked at me and he goes, what are you sad for? We've never even had a dinner with these neighbors.<laugh> and then the next day<laugh> but I chat with them. I talk to them, he's kind of keeps to himself. I talked to them and then the next day I had a new calm session and I had tears. So it was like, I was told to stifle it, like, why are you feeling any emotion? And then the next day I had the tears. So is there a connection there?

Speaker 2:

Of course there is NuCalm tears. Yeah. You never know where they're gonna come and you never know who's gonna be bringing them.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

They hypnogogic state that theta brain wave function is a liberation of your consciousness. We as humans, remember the central nervous system is always looking for fear and for security, but it also has a really good memory. It doesn't want you to be disappointed, shamed, humiliated. It does a better memory than you'll ever have. And it does things to stop you from taking risks, cuz it doesn't wanna fail. It's weird how we're built like that. Mm-hmm<affirmative>, I'd rather we we're built to experience and learn from failure, but it's not how we work. So we all, all of us, 7.6 billion people have two things that require energy. Number one, what I call the itty bitty that's that committee behind our eyes. It tells us that we're no good and we're not good enough. And no one cares and all the things that you know, that committee mm-hmm<affirmative>, it's awful. And sometimes it's really loud. The other thing is a narrative. We protect ourselves from pain. And so we build a narrative and a construct in our brain to protect us NuCalm liberates that you lose control when your brain is levitating in that state of healing. And so we don't know when you're gonna have that liberation, but the, one of the really powerful things about the trauma healing process is the fact that we release that grip of controlling your narrative to allow access to heal because closing it off typically results in cancer or other bad chronic illnesses. Mm-hmm<affirmative> because we need to resolve the things that are hurting our soul. Yeah. Our brains really strong. And we can build any rationalization to anything it's so resilient and powerful Newcomb says, no thank you. I need you to be in touch with the emotions of what's happening. So your Newcomb tears are a reflection of some internal pain and you're resolving that. That's it. It's amazing. And it happens a lot and you just never know when, why or how, but it's always positive in that. It may not feel that good that moment, but it's incredibly powerful and healing for you. We've had people speak to Jesus. We've had people see the color purple, which in the chakras is the number one

Speaker 1:

That's me. Totally.

Speaker 2:

So seeing purple is the number one. That's the highest level of achievement in consciousness.

Speaker 1:

Third eye people

Speaker 2:

Feel like they're being levitated and carried by Aborigines in Australia or floating in Fiji or speaking to deceased relatives. All we're doing is liberating. Your subconscious and, and disallowing your among key mind, those thought thousand thoughts an hour in your to-do list to go away. So that's what's happening and it's fascinating and it's really powerful for the healing process. It makes you a more complete human to experience that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. And that's why you guys are working with people who have very serious PTSD and<affirmative> right, because it really kind of, it, it almost helps to resolve that trauma or it does help to resolve that trauma.

Speaker 2:

It, how it does. This is through oxygen and through separation of the memory from the anxious response. If we can separate through new neuronal hearing, we're not erasing the memory, we're separating the physical manifestation of fear and mobilization and protect myself from trauma. It separates that that's the healing process. And with, with veterans, first of all, they're skeptical. Cause they've tried everything and nothing works and you can't give'em more false hope, but it's so all awesome to take care of them. Cause you can see in their soul, they're so desperate to regain control and we know we're gonna give it to'em. I just can't tell you how many sessions and how many days. Right? Cause there's a lot of variables to it, but I just know you're gonna struggle and we're gonna take you down this path and we're going to get you to a healing state and you're gonna live a better life. It's that's how, how to that, but not be rewarding to know with great confidence. What you have is going to take care of humans and allow them to liberate themselves from the hostage of stress.

Speaker 1:

I agree. And the other thing I, I definitely have to mention is I I've been meditating for many years and I do partake in visualizations, guided visualizations. And it's hard. It's really, really hard to do that in finding a space. That's quiet enough that you don't get disturbed. That you know, you can actually visualize what you wanna visualize. NewCom has made it easy. It's made it easy for, because I do believe that visualizations, you know, opening up the third eye and there's that woo. And you and I talked about it and I'm definitely, you made me laugh so hard that when you said I'm a little bit of country and I'm a little bit rock and roll<laugh> you know, I'm a little bit, I'm a little bit woo. I'm a little bit of both, but this is both. And that's why I resonate so much with this.

Speaker 2:

It's an amazing, amazing gift.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

For humans to just live better.

Speaker 1:

I, I couldn't agree

Speaker 2:

Is incredible. Yeah. But again, it's hard because people don't understand resonance and biochemistry and oscillations, they don't understand any of this stuff. So I tell people say, you don't need to understand it. I don't understand how microwave works. I just know it's convenient and take care of my food. I don't need to understand how works it makes me feel better. I sleep better. I perform better. I'm emotionally stable. I'm present with my family. I'm patient. I'm a better human being. Mm-hmm<affirmative> you know, this one gentleman, who's an older statesman laughed. He says, it's so complicated when I listen to your lecture, it's a lot of science. I don't care about. Listen, when I do calm, I'm more handsome to my wife and I'm funnier to my kids.<laugh>

Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah. Because your energy that you're exuding is that good energy. Not that stress, anxiety, um, uh, depression. It's none of that. That you're exuding.

Speaker 2:

I haven't, I haven't battled the anybody committee or any of those elements of humanity. A decade. I haven't wasted a single calorie, mental calorie on fear. I worry about nothing. And there's an energy to it when you're open, the world has good things in store for you. Oh yeah. But we're never paying attention cuz we're so focused on our to-do list or the things we didn't do in our we're. So inside our heads yeah. Newcomb and this opportunity to be in a state of mindfulness allows you to get outta your head totally. And to be present in your life. People always like, well, what are you gonna do next? I'm happy today. If I think about what I'm gonna do next, I'm gonna miss the journey getting there. So I refuse to do that, which is sometimes challenging, but it's been a fascinating evolution to go from a really type, a driven investment banker, always goal oriented, always deadlines, always push and push and pushing to just showing up. Mm-hmm<affirmative> I just show up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And it's such a good way to live. I wish I was living like this beforehand, but um, it's amazing. I'm really glad that you, uh, reached out. I'm really glad that you tried it. I'm really glad it resonated with you and I'm really glad to be on your podcast and to share what we're doing. And I get it. I know there's a lot of science I do. And um, you know, you listen to it and hopefully you could pull out a few nuggets of things that you didn't really understand about humanity or the evolution of our brain science or how the brain works. But in reality, if you wanna live a better life and not be subject to side effects or worry about, you know, drugs or the interactivity of drugs, this is a really good tool. And it's we, we reduced the price so significantly, um, for the international audience, uh, there's three ways to buy Newcomb. It's a monthly, I mean it's a Newcomb annual subscription, which just gives you access to Newcomb, which is the core foundation of health and healing. Then there's a premium manual subscription, which gives you access to Newcomb, ignite warrior brain deep sleep. So to me, if you really want the full caboodle, that's really the marker. And then there's the mastermind group. And the mastermind group is something we build because we used to sell a$6,000 medical device. Well guess what? We knew most of our customers and we could call'em up and say, Hey, we're gonna work on a new track or we're gonna work on this. And we just had a family type of affair and we had thousands of customers, but there was a sense of family over a decade doing this. We lowered our price. We knew we wouldn't have that family. Cuz we went from 7,000 customers to 60,000 customers in months. Okay. Mastermind, we built so that we continue to have this family affair. We put all of our value in that mm-hmm<affirmative> so you'll have early access to things. We do office hours twice a month. We do a lot of town halls with our masterminds and we do a master series. We interview people who are experts in their field at night on Thursday nights. And you get the whole package that used to be the$6,000 device. You get a$400. He phone, you get a travel bag, you get a hundred discs, you get special promotions and you get lifetime access to Newcomb. And a couple years of access to ignite warrior brain deep sleep and focus is coming soon. So the most value is in our mastermind and those are the people nearest and dearest to our heart. So there's three ways for international audience to become part of our family, the Newcomb annual subscription, the premium manual subscription or the mastermind. Okay. And you just go to our website or I believe you have a, a code or an affiliate code that we

Speaker 1:

Give I yes, unless there's something I will announce that in my preamble when I record. But yes, I will have a discount for the audience listening. And also you're you're on, you're on Instagram. Are you also on, you're all you're on Facebook. You're on social media channels. So you that's

Speaker 2:

All to be new for us. So I have to, I have to, um, just apologize in advance. I'm 53 year old and I used to be cool. And I'm now a dinosaur<laugh> um, I have no personal

Speaker 1:

I, 52 social media

Speaker 2:

Come on, living, present in the moment I refuse to, to uh, if someone wants to get ahold of me, you have my phone number, call me right. I have no social media, so I'm not privy to it. But we spent 32 years and$33 million building the perfect mousetrap to take care of humanity. We spent zero money on marketing. Yeah, until now. So we launched this new subscription model in November of 2021 and we have so many cool things happening. We've already launched. We've had five new product launches in five months where historically we might launch one, some, one new thing a year because of the complexity. It takes us a year or two to build one neuro acoustic software track. So we're just really in this great place. And we finally hired someone internally to be our social media expert. So yeah. We're co yes. We're gonna hear more about us.

Speaker 1:

Yes. And I know on Instagram it's NewCom performance and NewCom is N U C a L M performance. Right? So I just wanna thank you so much for coming today. It's just such a pleasure speaking with you. Your energy is amazing and you don't seem stressed out at all, Jim at all, ever

Speaker 2:

What's ever stressed out about.

Speaker 1:

I know exactly, exactly. So I wanna thank you very much for coming today.

Speaker 2:

Thanks for having me appreciate it. Everybody out there take care of yourselves, take care of the ones who love you and need you the most, but you can't do that without taking care of yourselves. So please do that. Self care is not selfish.
